Welcome! I am glad you have come to visit.

My name is Carla Starr, a licensed clinical social worker located in the Black Hills, SD. I provide mental health therapy for adolescents, adults, and elders, with focus on connection, understanding, and healing.

My approach is person-centered, calm, and strengths-based. In our first session, I will learn more about what has brought you in, and help you with figuring out the steps to move towards your healing goals. I have training in many modalities of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Being person-centered, I will use the interventions that will work best for you.
